Abstract

Within the broad topic regarding the transmission religious of knowledge in 14th century Syria and Egypt, the article examines some of the so far unexplored biographical sources of Ibn Taymiyya and it describes the concern of a faithful discipline of his regarding the collection and the editing of his master's works after his death. A concern that reflects, in turn, an anxiety over the oblivions of Ibn Taymiyya's doctrines.
