This essay offers a brief reflection on the theme of "sacred waters" in the context of the "pilgrim journey": a remote custom, linked to devotional practices aimed at achieving a state of physical and spiritual health, in a context of mystical abandonment and purification. The scope of the study—limited to the southern Veneto region—highlights the connection between the unique characteristics of the territory, the development of the routes, the architecture of the sanctuaries, and the development of settlements.
