Abstract

Le reazioni di allilazione al gruppo carbonilico sono delle trasformazioni sinteticamente utili, poiché danno origine ad alcoli omoallilici, importanti e versatili intermedi per la sintesi di molecole complesse. In precedenza, nei nostri laboratori, si è potuto vedere che il sistema CeCl3.7H2O-NaI, poco costoso e poco tossico, nonché stabile all'aria, è in grado di promuovere la reazione di allilazione di aldeidi da parte dei derivati dello Sn, producendo anche un buon controllo regiochimico nel caso di crotilstannani. Tuttavia tale sistema risulta essere poco efficace con gli allilstannani, migliori da un punto di vista ambientale. A questo scopo, abbiamo individuato un altro sale di Ce(III), il CeF3, che si è rivelato un ottimo attivatore di tali reazioni.
