Abstract

Il secolo passato, in particolare, con la sua forte connotazione ideologica, ha cercato di separare genti e Paesi, che avevano cercato non solo di vivere in pace, ma anche di completarsi attraverso una positiva contaminazione culturale, che non aveva mancato di essere integrata da un fruttuoso scambio di conoscenze, esperienze, in grado di arricchire una consuetudine di traffici e commerci che anche nei periodi più bui mai erano cessati. Italiani, sloveni, istriani, dalmati, montenegrini, albanesi, ma anche croati, serbi, bosniaci, austriaci, ungheresi, sono stati capaci per secoli di trasformare idee, energie, necessità, bisogni in enzimi in grado di produrre una catalisi positiva, che non solo ha avuto una funzione di purificazione, ma anche − e soprattutto − di unificazione.
