L’attualità dello spazio. Digitale e geolocalizzazione

Abstract

Un nuovo modo di vivere/abitare gli spazi urbani – e non solo urbani – si è affermato a partire dall’introduzione di dispositivi digitali nelle pratiche quotidiane, in particolare attraverso quella funzione digitale che, più evidentemente di altre, già nel nome stesso, si riferisce allo spazio e al suo dimensionamento: la geolocalizzazione. Occorrerà dunque una breve disamina di ciò che è accaduto nell’ultimo decennio per poter approcciare la questione della co-costituzione di spazio e significato in una prospettiva semiotica. Naturalmente, il presupposto semiotico per una analisi dello spazio è che questo presenti le caratteristiche di un linguaggio, nel quale tratti significanti che rinviano a significati formano quell’insieme di tratti pertinenti – pertinenze – che, attraverso pratiche di significazione, assumono una configurazione testuale. Ossia, un insieme di tratti in relazione tra loro che – a principiare dalla stessa relazione – rendono manifesto, significativo e inter-comprensibile lo spazio.
