L’ESTRANEITÀ DEL FAMILIARE: GROTESK, OSTRANENIE, PERTURBANTE

Abstract

Questo articolo si prefigge di mettere in luce il legame concettuale che intercorre tra il fenomeno del “perturbante” – analizzato da Freud nel celebre saggio Das Unheimliche (1919) – e due nozioni di grande rilievo presenti nel panorama cul¬turale russo del primo Novecento: il grottesco e lo straniamento (ostranenie). L’ambito del grottesco è il teatro, e il regista che lo studiò più a fondo è Vsevolod Mejerchol’d, il quale trasmise poi al suo allievo, Sergej Ejzenštejn, l’interesse per questo procedimento che fa percepire una nota inquietante o persino tragica in ciò che di primo acchito si presenta come abituale, familiare o comico. A loro volta i formalisti (e in particolare il giovane Viktor Šklovskij), che delle sperimentazioni avanguardistiche teatrali avevano fatto tesoro, concentrarono la loro attenzione su un procedimento poetico che fa apparire inconsueti, sorprendenti, “strani” gli oggetti con cui abbiamo più dimestichezza. Proprio il rapporto ambivalente tra familiarità ed estraneità che caratterizza il perturbante freudiano permette di accostare quest’ultimo alle ricerche di Mejerchol’d, di Šklovskij e infine al teatro epico di Bertolt Brecht.
