Abstract

Visto da fuori, attraverso la pubblicistica, sembra (erroneamente) che il nostro Paese non stia producendo molta “architettura”. Eccezione fatta per i nomi più celebrati o per qualche sporadico caso di eccellenza internazionale, quello che maggiormente capita è riscontrare l’oggettiva difficoltà nel riuscire a tracciare un ritratto di quanto stia accadendo in Italia: sia da parte di occhi critici esterni o stranieri, sia da parte degli addetti ai lavori laddove, fatto salvo per qualche eccezione, si è spesso assistito al tentativo di affastellare nominativi senza uno specifico “perché” capace di rappresentare un’architettura veramente nazionale. Secondo questi presupposti, un importante assunto da mettere in atto potrebbe essere quello di non volere a tutti i costi trovare un elemento comune, bensì esplorare senza preconcetti il territorio italiano nelle sue singolarità; un Paese con una morfologia tale da includere la compresenza di molte “acustiche” e relative “eco” dovute alle differenti influenze derivate dalla storia, dalle peculiarità dei luoghi, dalle tipicità delle comunità e, in parte, dalla varietà delle posizioni culturali divulgate nelle scuole di architettura.
