Archive drawing in digital reconstructions. Unbuilt Venice in Cannaregio Ovest (1978) = I disegni d’archivio nelle ricostruzioni digitali. Venezia non costruita a Cannaregio Ovest (1978)

Abstract

The article proposes some reflections on the possibilities offered by digital visualization technologies and the sharing strategies of the graphic heritage held in the Archivio Progetti Iuav. Starting from the graphic interpretations developed on two unbuilt projects by Carlo Aymonino and John Hejduk for the sestiere of Cannaregio Ovest, in Venice (1978), the aim is to enhance the graphic and documentary heritage currently available through the elaboration of new digital devices, that would enrich the existing documentary apparatus on the two projects and, in a wider sense, make more accessible and explorable some theoretical speculations on the project of architecture and of the city, still on paper.
