Abstract

Ben lontani dall’idea di conformarsi ad una ulteriore Città Ideale, ad un’ulteriore pro- posta di Utopia traslata dalla sociologia all’architettura, si è cercato di veri care l’ade- guatezza empirica di alcune soluzioni, interpretate, frammentate, deformate e as- semblate in un disegno di città ulteriore. Il fallimento operativo delle promesse del 19° e 20° secolo sono attorno a noi, davan- ti ai nostri occhi. La questione della costruzione della città è chiaramente una parti- ta senza termine e senza vincitori, dove l’unica cosa davvero certa è che giocandola si debba essere in grado di imparare, senza preclusioni ideologiche e dogmi, dai pro- pri errori. Lungo i due anni di corso è stato affrontato ogni tema riguardante i nessi propri del- la costruzione della città in un percorso mistilineo, indotto dalle contingenze a con- frontarsi con possibilità diverse, per analogia, sintesi, critica, frammentazione, distor- sione no a realizzare un coagulo urbano, dove le relazioni sono misurate dalle ar- chitetture stesse che al contempo de niscono i luoghi di cui in sostanza la città è co- stituita, ragionando sulle possibilità con gurazionali di relazione di cui i progetti so- no stati solo il risultato ultimo. Avremmo potuto chiamare questa città in qualsiasi modo, ma Libera, forse, racchiude in sé il signi cato vero di una ricerca nalizzata alla liberazione della città dalle cate- ne dell’oppressione ideologica sistemica a cui è soggiogata.
