Selecting the correct joint and trajectory to reach a new spatial configuration can be a challenging for patients with IMA. This study discovered that fewer errors in reproduction of gestures were made using a manikin as compared to reproduction of gestures on the patient’s own bodies. We hypothesize that use of the manikin allows IMA patients to focus on joint movement coordination due to decreased need to focus on proprioception. Use of a manikin may be a potential tool for neurorehabilitation in IMA.
