Abstract

Il saggio propone l'analisi estetico-formale del film Ida di Pawel Pawlkowski mettendo in luce come entrambe le protagoniste, Ida giovane novizia interna in un convento della Polonia degli anni Sessanta e la zia Wanda magistrato ossequiente allo stalinismo, siano toccate in maniera del tutto singolare dall'imperfezione. L'analisi del percorso delle due figure nella gelida Polonia degli anni sessanta per dare sepoltura ai resti dei famigliari di origine ebraica di Ida e del figlio di Wanda, trucidati durante lo stalinismo, assurge a metafora di un percorso di consapevolezza da parte delle due donne della propria storia personale e in forma più ampia, attraverso la rappresentazione del freddo e scarno paesaggio, delle ferite ancora aperte nel clima sociale e politico della Polonia del periodo storico evocato.
