Declinazioni del padre in Tetro e in Somewhere

Abstract

Il saggio analizza la rappresentazione della funzione paterna in Tetro e in Somewhere, film realizzati rispettivamente da Francis Ford Coppola e da Sofia Coppola (figlia di Francis) a poca distanza l'uno dall'altro.Il tema del padre, presente in entrambe le opere (molto differenti sul piano espressivo), è affrontato mettendo in tensione una prospettiva di analisi estetico-formale e la teorizzazione psicoanalitica del "Nome del Padre" (Jacques Lacan). L'attenzione è stata posta anche all'emergere dello sguardo attraverso un particolare uso della luce (in Tetro) e alle dinamiche del desiderio in entrambi i film .
