the residue profile of boldenone (beta-bold) and of its epimer (alfa bold) were investigated by LC_MS/MS in urine of male veal calves fed with two commercial milk replacers containing cholesterol and phytosterols at different ratio. Concentration of alfa-bold were always higher in urine from calves receiving the milk replacer with the greater amount of phytosterols; during the whole experiment 17beta-bold was never detected in urine samples collected.
