Una nuova economia e società rurale nei PVS

Abstract

Il saggio apre una raccolta di 16 contributi di vari soggetti (agronomi, economisti, pedologi, zootecnici, veterinari, esperti di acquacoltura, forestali) che hanno acquisito esperienza di cooperazione allo sviluppo o nel campo della ricerca e della didattica e più in generale della riflessione concettuale, o nel settore della progettazione e/o gestione di iniziative progettuali aventi per oggetto territori e/o economie ascrivibili alla sfera extarurbana di Paesi ad economia povera. Il contenuto del lavoro è che il settore primario in se (agricoltura, zootecnia, foreste, caccia e pesca) non ha, in alcun angolo del mondo, la forza sufficiente di generare sviluppo equo e diffuso. Ne consegue che è vincente attivare interventi tali da "evolvere" le popolazioni agricole in società rurali, senza passare attraverso pesanti e spesso denigranti emigrazioni verso le aree urbane. Da qui la necessità di promuovere economie integrate e con famiglie a redditi misti con caratteristiche differenziate nei differenti contesti dei PVS in cui si opera.
