L'etica professionale è argomento che incontra parecchie resistenze negli insegnanti e per diverse ragioni. Gli insegnanti dimostrano di non avere idee univoche sul tema etico, in più non conoscono le diverse posizioni morali . Di contro, il processo di professionalizzazione del docente può essere favorito dalla definizione di una deontologia.
