Abstract

Al fine di individuare gli aspetti epidemiologici che ostacolano il pieno raggiungimento dell'obiettivo dell'eradicazione della leucosi bovina enzootica, è stato condotto uno studio caso-controllo nella Provincia di Mantova. E' stata confrontata l'esposizione a diversi potenziali fattori di rischio (dimensioni di allevamento, introduzione di bovini, precedenti positività, modalità di fecondazione, impiego di pool di colostro, uso di strumenti veterinari in comune con altre aziende, interventi chirurgici) in allevamenti sede di focolaio ufficiale e in allevamenti indenni da almeno 5 anni. Alla presenza dell'infezione sono risultate essere associate le dimensioni di allevamento, l'introduzione di capi, precedenti sieropositività, la somministrazione di pool colostrali
