Abstract

Il capitolo analizza la trasformazione delle forme estetiche nella cultura digitale contemporanea, esplorando l’emergere delle internet aesthetics come fenomeno culturale e comunicativo nato all’interno delle piattaforme digitali. Attraverso casi come cutecore, cleangirl o redacademia, l’autore indaga le pratiche di produzione e condivisione di oggetti culturali visivi che si sviluppano nel contesto delle culture partecipative e del digital folklore. L’estetica digitale viene interpretata come un sistema di segni, pratiche e affettività che si forma “dal basso” attraverso la circolazione di contenuti, l’uso di hashtag e le affordance delle piattaforme (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest). Queste estetiche vernacolari riflettono un mutamento profondo nella costruzione identitaria e nella produzione culturale: dall’arte e dallo spettacolo di massa alla performatività quotidiana e relazionale della cultura connessa. La riflessione si conclude con un ritorno al pensiero di Alberto Abruzzese e alla sua intuizione sulla “fine dello spettacolo”, per leggere l’estetica digitale come forma espressiva e identitaria che traduce la cultura dello spettacolo nella frammentazione e nell’interattività del presente, ponendo il frammento come principio estetico dominante dell’era post-mediale.
