Abstract

Affrontare il tema delle competenze professionali delle educatrici e degli educatori oggi significa porsi in una dimensione di complessità che richiede di tener conto di aspetti diversi, pur se in parte sovrapponibili. Il primo aspetto, di natura epistemologica, chiama in causa il costrutto stesso di competenza e la sua o le sue possibili definizioni; il secondo richiede una declinazione di tale concetto nello specifico contesto educativo; il terzo è riconducibile alla necessità di una solida base empirica che dia coerenza e consistenza al concetto di competenze professionali in educazione.
