La paura del contagio

Abstract

Si tratta di considerare il fatto che ogni decisione di investimento presa da imprese che scelgono di modificare i propri processi produttivi è vincolata non solo dalla composizione dello stock di capitale che prevale in un dato momento nell’economia, ma avrà a sua volta ripercussioni sull’insieme delle relazioni che unisce tra loro i diversi capitali concorrenti. La concorrenza tra capitali si sviluppa a misura che cresce tra le impre-se la consapevolezza che ogni investimento è contemporaneamente complementare e concorrente rispetto ad altri investimenti che sono stati, sono e saranno realizzati nel sistema economico da parte delle altre imprese e da loro stesse. La definizione di una concatenazione efficiente tra diversi progetti di investimento costituisce un obiettivo sempre più difficile da realizzare, ma obbligato per la concorrenza tra le grandi imprese transnazionali, ed è a questo punto che riemerge il problema dell’informazione, del suo possibile utilizzo nei processi produttivi, e della struttura cognitiva che la nuova frontiera della produzione implica e impone. E, di nuovo, l’informazione chiama in causa il tempo e la velocità. [...]
