COMPARISON OF BRUCELLA MELITENSIS AND BRUCELLA OVIS BY PROTEOMIC APPROACH In this work the proteome of two Brucella species, B. melitensis type strain 16M and B. ovis REO198, showing different phenotypes, pathophysiology and host-pathogen interactions were compared, in order to identify proteins that may correlate to different phenotypic characteristics and to search virulence or immunogenic factors for a better characterization of Brucella pathogenicity.
