Abstract

Questo lavoro che festeggia la nascita dell’associazione di Didattica delle Lingue e Linguistica Educativa (DILLE) offre una lettura dei docenti e degli studenti di lingua straniera (LS) in chiave diacronica e evoluzionistica ed è dedicato a Darwin nel bicentenario della sua nascita. Parte dalla seconda metà del secolo scorso per proporre nuovi scenari per il professore che verrà suggerendo, attraverso dati originali e autentici, che la figura del docente di lingua, nella sua completezza di conoscenze (anello cognitivo) e strategie (anello operativo), difetta di gestione dell’emotività (anello emotivo). Modalità di Programmazione Neuro-Linguistica (PNL), se inserite nei sillabi formativi, possono colmare questa lacuna. Conoscere i contenuti da insegnare (programmi, scansioni, raggruppamenti ed interdisciplinarità), le strategie necessarie al passaggio dei contenuti (prassi e verifiche didattiche) e le variabili attitudinali (differenze di età, di interessi, di motivazione, ecc) non soddisfa le esigenze degli studenti di oggi. C’è bisogno di un nuovo tipo di docente: un coach pedagogico che, oltre ad essere esperto nella LS sia anche capace di trasferirla utilizzando quegli strumenti che, nel rispetto dell’emotività, permettano il superamento delle barriere acquisizionali.
