Abstract

El ensayo se propone ilustrar la lectura crítica que el profesor Giuseppe Bellini, iniciador de los estudios hispanoamericanos en Italia, realiza de dos novelas del escritor granadino Francisco Ayala, a saber Muertes de perro y El fondo del vaso. En ambos textos, la ambientación americana no es sino un pretexto para describir la deformación de la dictadura y el deterioro de la situación española. El profesor Bellini subraya cómo la condición de exiliado de Ayala influye en la actitud de denuncia del fenómeno dictatorial.
