Viene dedicato ampio spazio alla determinazione dell'epoca della morte, che rappresentata l'argomento di maggiore interesse dal punto di vista forense, descrivendo i fenomeni tanatologici nella loro varia tipologia (consecutivi, trasformativi, et.). Un paragrafo specifico è dedicato alla morte improvvisa.
