Abstract

L'articolo parte dall'uso dell'ascolto come risorsa della ricerca sociale, per poi estendersi ad altri riferimenti che comunque interpellano le scienze sociali. Concepito inizialmente come predisposizione interiore, secondo gli antichi classici, l'ascolto diviene poi non solo tecnica d'indagine, ma anche "arte" indispensabile alla ricerca empirica. Su questo punto s'innesta l'ermeneutica filosofica contemporanea: inquadrando la comprensione come condizione basata sulla reciprocità (in quanto nessuno può comprendere o comprendersi da solo) l'ascolto diviene l'apertura alla cifra che l'Essere imprime sul mondo e sulla linguiticità dell'esistenza.
