Abstract

L’articolo propone una rivisitazione critica del concetto di “islamismo” svolta a partire da una rassegna degli studi sull’islamismo e i movimenti islamisti elaborati dalla seconda metà degli anni Settanta del Novecento ad oggi. L’articolo formula altresì proposte per una nuova agenda metodologica e di ricerca sul fenomeno.

The article offers a critical review of the concept of "Islamism" starting from a review of the studies on Islamism and Islamist movements produced since the second half of the Seventies to the present. The article also makes suggestions for a new methodological and research agenda and on the phenomenon.
