Abstract

La poetessa americana Emily Dickinson costituisce un caso esemplare all'interno del "canone occidentale". Se si eccettuano 7 poesie (comunque pubblicate anonime) l'intero corpus poetico è stato pubblicato solo postumo. Non è stato mai chiarito se fu determinante il rifiuto da parte degli editori, o se invece prevalse la scelta di autonomia e di non asservimeno al mercato editoriale del momento. Per molti anni la critica ha elencato la condizione di inedito come un aspetto dell'anomalia e del mistero della poetessa. Ma adesso, alla luce di nuove possibilità editoriali, di nuovi modi di distribuzione online, e di un nuovo modo di concepire la stessa testualità, ci si chiede se la poesia di Dickinson non abbia invece anticipato la testualità ipertestuale e multimediale, ad accesso aperto, autoprodotta.
