Abstract

Questa guida fornisce la base per la comprensione delle principali caratteristiche teoriche e pratiche della terapia cognitiva basata sulla mindfulness (MBCT). Il testo è suddiviso in 30 caratteristiche distintive che contraddistinguono questo approccio e si focalizza su un programma di terapia cognitiva basata sulla mindfulness che viene proposto in un contesto di gruppo a coloro che possono avere una vulnerabilità a ricadute depressive. L'MBCT è un approccio sempre più usato nella pratica clinica. Si propone di incoraggiare i pazienti a processare l'esperienza lasciando andare i giudizi nel momento in cui questi emergono, e ci aiuta a modificare le nostre relazioni con pensieri e sensazioni spiacevoli ed accettare che, anche se possono accadere degli eventi difficili, è possibile relazionarsi ad essi in modi diversi. La terapia cognitiva basata sulla mindfulness. Caratteristiche distintive offre dunque una chiara e strutturata panoramica del trattamento sia per i clinici che già operano sul campo, sia per chi sta terminando la formazione. Una serie in 10 volumi per introdurre e spiegare i vari metodi della terapia cognitivo-comportamentale, in cui ciascuna guida chiarisce le caratteristiche teoriche e pratiche proprie di ciascun approccio. Una lettura fondamentale per psicoterapeuti, counsellor e psicologi di tutti gli orientamenti che vogliono apprendere di più sulla gamma di approcci cognitivo-comportamentali nuovi e che si stanno sviluppando.
