Abstract

Con le diverse tipologie di laser scanner e con opportuni progetti di rilievo integrato diventa possibile effettuare rilievi tridimensionali per i beni culturali (patrimonio architettonico, storico ed archeologico e contesti ambientali) sempre più veloci e versatili. Il modello tridimensionale ottenuto da opportune nuvole di punti garantisce la misurabilità dell’oggetto rilevato e può essere elaborato digitalmente per molte applicazioni, fra cui: 1) semplice archiviazione, 2) produzione di elaborati come supporto per lo studio ed il restauro (profili, sezioni, alzati, ortofotopiani, viste 3D, ecc.) 3) ricostruzione di scenari in realtà virtuale, 4) restauro digitale, 5) creazione di musei digitali, 6) ricostruzione di copie ed altro ancora. La nuvola di punti che il rilievo 3D fornisce, adeguatamente elaborata, può diventare la base di un Sistema Informativo Spaziale contenitore di tutte le altre indagini, analogo ad un GIS, con grande profitto per il progetto conoscitivo e la valorizzazione del patrimonio indagato. Nel campo del restauro dei dati 3D (eventualmente integrati con l’intensità di riflessione del raggio laser per ciascuno dei punti della nuvola) consente non solo di studiare lo stato attuale delle superfici indagate (morfologia, dissesti, forme di degrado, ecc,) ma anche di procedere con sistematici monitoraggi.
