We decide to study the frequency of cataract with its various morphological features in high myopia. The possible onset of retinal detachment after cataract surgery is relevant in myopia, especially in high myopia. Prophylaxis should be performed when definitely rhegmatogenous retinal degenerations are present.Our methods in aphakic retinal detachment prophylaxis in myopia and particularly in high myopia are discussed.
