The present study aims to define a certain point concerning the developments achieved in the transition from 3D surveying to 3D survey, especially regarding the definition of the models obtained from numerical data and their characterization through the use of the pixel. This characterization is basically derived from the 3D detection and formally by the numerical model (3D laser scanning) and high-resolution digital photographs. Calculations obtained from the survey and 2D models (two-dimensional) and 3D (three-dimensional) achieve a more concrete characterization through the creation of a "analog model / digital interactive" used in the object / representation relation. It makes possile a continuous interaction between the object represented and the user, maintaining the ongoing relationship between the scale of representation and the real object thanks to the introduction of colour to 2D and 3D models. Through the chromatic characterization and then the pixel digital characterization of the model, a continuous relationship between iconicity and virtualization of the detected object is obtained, in which the models worked out enable a dynamic perception of the object in a continuous relationship between the real object and its virtual model.
Il progetto di ricerca proposto nasce da una ricerca comune tra architetti e archeologici delle Università di Roma-Sapienza e di Merida su alcuni manufatti archeologici di straordinaria importanza: l’arco di Giano, il Tempio di Claudio, la Casa dei Cavalieri di Malta, la casa delle Vestali a Roma; il Teatro e l’ Anfiteatro romano di Merida. Nel corso della ricerca si sono dimostrati essenziali sia l’integrazione delle diverse competenze dei gruppi, sia l’uso della tecnica Scanning 3D, che consente ricerche specifiche su elementi strutturali finora trascurati.
