Il linguaggio romano del disegno architettonico tra le due guerre

Abstract

La considerazione che l’espressione grafica di un progetto sia indissolubilmente vincolata al linguaggio architettonico da esso espresso ha un valore assoluto nell’ambito della rappresentazione dell’architettura; volendo inoltre connotarla nel preciso arco temporale della prima metà del ‘900, essa assume un’evidenziazione sostanziale dovuta proprio al “nuovo” ruolo che il disegno per l’architettura e per l’arte in genere incorpora. La tecnica, lo stile di rappresentazione, il taglio, il formato, il segno grafico dunque, come testimonianza delle intenzioni intellettuali degli autori in grado, al pari dell’architettura costruita, di contribuire in maniera determinante all’evoluzione dello stesso pensiero architettonico, e questo sia nel caso in cui rappresentino progetti disegnati e poi realizzati fisicamente, che concepiti per essere costruiti ma poi mai realizzati o ancora come progetti già ipotizzati con la consapevolezza dell’irrealizzabilità.
