Abstract

Per nostra conoscenza, questa è la seconda pubblicazione nella letteratura mondiale riguardo all'argomento. I nostri risultati sono in linea di massima simili a quelli ottenuti da Valensise e coll., che attribuiscono valore predittivo di fetal distress in travaglio alla FHR in battiti per minuto (BPM) ed al numero di Acc 10, in rapporto al numero totale di Acc registrate in 60 minuti di registrazione. Nella nostra casistica, confermiamo questo risultato per quando riguarda la FHR, ma non osserviamo differenze significative per le Acc, che i Colleghi rinvengono più frequenti nei feti che svilupperanno fetal distress in travaglio. Altra importante differenza tra i nostri risultati riguarda la STV (Short Term Variation), che per noi differisce significamente tra i gruppi, essendo più alta nei feti dove il travaglio evolverà in parto spontaneo senza complicazioni. In attesa di arricchire la casistica in nostro possesso ed ottenere risultati più univoci e probabilmente più omogenei con la letteratura internazionale, confermiamo che la FHR può avere valore per sospettare il fetal distress in travaglio ed affermiamo che la STV piò essere utile in questo senso, risultandoci inversamente proporzionale al rischio di fetal distress, come potrebbe essere plausibile, data la sua forte affidabilità per la definizione del reale stato ossigeno-metabolico fetale.
