Un esame del pensiero di Michel Foucault in rapporto alla questione della "differenza", vista sia in senso etico sia in senso sociale e politico. L'ambito preso in considerazione spazia dai primi agli ultimi lavori di Foucault, concentrandosi su nozioni del suo pensiero tardo come "Biopolitica" ed "Erotica", ma anche confrontando le sue istanze teoriche con quelle di autori contemporanei impegnati nella riflessione sull'alterità come Paul Ricoeur e Gilles Deleuze.
