Abstract

Il contributo presenta i risultati di un progetto di ricerca interdisciplinare dedicato alla ricostruzione tridimensionale di quattro ambienti del castello degli Acaia a Torino nei primi decenni del Quattrocento. L’équipe di lavoro, composta da storici medievisti, storici dell’architettura, paleografi ed esperti di ricostruzione 3D di spazi e oggetti, ha selezionato ambienti centrali per la vita del castello: il cortile, la sala grande inferiore (odierna sala Acaia), la cucina e la camera del principe di Piemonte. L’approccio metodologico è stato calibrato in base alla tipologia e alla consistenza delle fonti disponibili per ciascun ambiente, comprendenti documentazione d’archivio, rilievi pubblicati e analisi delle strutture materiali conservate. Il processo di ricostruzione video dell’aspetto bassomedievale degli spazi ha richiesto inoltre l’elaborazione di soluzioni visive scientificamente fondate e argomentabili anche nei casi di assenza o frammentarietà dei dati, ponendo particolare attenzione al rapporto tra interpretazione storica, visualizzazione digitale e comunicazione del patrimonio.
