Il testo affronta il tema dell'edilizia rurale nel territorio della cosiddetta Colonia Italiana nel Rio Grande del Sud, in Brasile, con particolare riferimento al territorio di Bento Gonçalves. Si tratta di uno studio storico- critico e comparativo, basato sulla sintassi spaziale, tra l'edilizia rurale della terra di approdo e quella di origine.
