Abstract

La prospettiva di supply chain management ha, inoltre, incorporato l’approfondimento specifico sulla gestione della liquidità lungo la filiera, attraverso lo sviluppo di soluzioni inter-organizzative per la gestione del capitale circolante, generato dall’attività operativa o dagl’investimenti correnti, facendo leva sul ruolo che ciascun attore economico ricopre all’interno della supply chain in cui opera e sulle relazioni con gli altri attori della filiera (Caniato et al., 2019; Moretto et al., 2019; Bals, 2019; Perego et al., 2013; Gelsomino et al., 2016). Tale approfondimento si riferisce agli studi di “Supply Chain Finance” – SCF, che sono diventati di grande interesse per l’accademia e il mondo professionale, soprattutto nella prospettiva che prende in considerazione anche gli aspetti fisici del capitale circolante, ovvero le scorte (Massaroni et al., 2019). Con il passare del tempo, il concetto di SCF si è evoluto per rispondere non solo a esigenze finanziarie, e alla sostenibilità economica, ma anche alle crescenti aspettative in termini di sostenibilità sociale e ambientale. L’accresciuta consapevolezza riguardo ai cambiamenti climatici, insieme alle pressioni normative e alle aspettative degli investitori, ha spinto le imprese a ripensare il loro approccio alla gestione della supply chain in un’ottica più responsabile e sostenibile. In questa direzione, gli studi più recenti sul tema di “Sustainable Supply Chain Finance” – SSCF approfondiscono come facilitare l’equilibrio tra gli aspetti della “triple bottom line – TBL”, così da portare vantaggi nella filiera in termini di gestione dei rischi e di raggiungimento degli obiettivi di sostenibilità (Jia et al., 2020; Tseng et al., 2018).
