European Parliament Elections are an increasingly important moment for the European Union and its Member States. They constitute one of the largest global democratic events, and are observed with ever greater interest and attention by all institutional actors, inside and outside the Union. This book, which aspires to be a study of European constitutional law, holds together the contributions of influential constitutionalists and younger researchers from different schools and different Italian universities. It aims to make available to the scholarly community an analysis of the unfolding of this great democratic occasion, with particular attention to its legal connotations, as well as to the assessment of its results and political consequences: more general and wide-ranging texts are followed by in-depth analyses of the internal dynamics of each Member State.
