Rimozione e smaltimento amianto

Authors: Carlo Vannini;

Rimozione e smaltimento amianto

Abstract

This chapter examines the procedures for the safe removal and disposal of asbestos-containing components within the disassembly processes examined throughout this section of the volume. In this particular instance, the remediation process entails the comprehensive removal of asbestos materials, commencing with an initial site assessment and culminating in the physical removal and controlled disposal of waste. The process encompasses the encapsulation of asbestos fibres for containment, as well as the encapsulation of the asbestos materials themselves. This chapter outlines the principal stages of the process and the regulations that must be observed to guarantee the safety of the public and the protection of workers. When asbestos cement is degraded and at risk of fibre release, legislation requires that immediate remediation measures be taken. The process culminates with final environmental assessments and certification from the ASL to ensure the safe restoration of the area.
