Abstract

• As possíveis etiologias da estenose aórtica (EAo) são febre reumática, congênita e degeneração senil. • Fisiopatologia: por causa da obstrução na via de saída de ventrículo esquerdo (VE), há aumento da pressão sistólica deste (levando à hipertrofia concêntrica) e diminuição da pressão na raiz da aorta (redução da pressão de perfusão coronária). Em fases mais avançadas evolui com dilatação ventricular e queda da fração de ejeção.
