Critical librarianship highlights exclusionary tendencies among library practices and theories. With the intent to propose the adoption of the critical librarianship approach towards bibliographic standards, the article presents an analysis of the IFLA LRM conceptual model and highlights its geographical, linguistic and cultural biases due to which the pluralistic and inclusive principles of the standard appears weakened, even if unconsciously.
