Abstract

È ormai convinzione diffusa che ricevere cure palliative al domicilio, oltre a rispondere alle preferenze di pazienti e familiari, favorisce una migliore qualità di vita e costituisce una scelta assistenziale decisamente sostenibile dal punto di vista economico. Per questo motivo, incentivare questo tipo di setting è divenuta una priorità delle politiche sanitarie. Anche le riflessioni e gli studi condotti in ambito bioetico sono concordi nel sostenere l’importanza delle Cure Palliative per il fine-vita. Tuttavia, le evidenze di letteratura mostrano anche come gli interventi di assistenza domiciliare considerati dagli studi siano molto eterogenei tra loro, e questo conduce ad outcome di efficacia altrettanto variabili.
