Abstract

Il settore dell’eventistica è, da tempo, sottoposto a metamorfosi caratterizzate dall’esigenza di individuare nuovi modelli di business per contrarre i costi, di sfruttare a pieno le opportunità fornite dall’innovazione tecnologica, di potenziare azioni e strategie di comunicazione e di adottare pratiche sostenibili. La pandemia Covid-19 ha determinato molti danni all’industria degli eventi, ma ha anche favorito un’accelerazione nelle dinamiche di cambiamento. Il volume, alla luce dei paradigmi attuali, esamina le trasformazioni in atto in una prospettiva ecosistemica, finalizzata a tracciare possibili linee di sviluppo per gli anni a venire e a delineare una serie di modelli operativi che possono fornire ai lettori spunti di riflessione, siano essi studenti, studiosi o professionisti del settore. La sistematizzazione prodotta, in una chiave inedita rispetto alla manualistica vigente, è sostenuta da un proficuo dialogo intercorso negli anni con i maggiori esperti italiani e internazionali e dal sostegno di Donald Getz, il padre fondatore degli Event studies. Il volume ha puntato su metodi anziché su strumenti, nella consapevolezza che questi ultimi possono cambiare anche repentinamente, mentre la centralità di procedure e di un approccio operativo che poggia le sue fondamenta su basi scientifiche solide, può diventare un bagaglio inesauribile di spunti per affrontare al meglio le sfide e le transizioni che attendono la comunicazione e il management degli eventi nei prossimi anni.
