Abstract

Il saggio descrive il ruolo svolto dalla fotogrammetria nella campagna di rilievo degli Appartamenti Papali in Castel Sant’Angelo, il cui uso e’ stato reputato indispensabile sia in quanto tecnica di rilevamento complementare al rilievo diretto e a quello topografico, e quindi ad essi necessariamente integrata, ma anche intesa e concepita nella sua accezione piu’ ampia, per le notevoli possibilita’ di analisi e di indagine che offre e, quindi, come imprescindibile in una campagna di rilievo che abbia per oggetto un monumento di tale importanza e di tali caratteristiche. Il saggio descrive puntualmente le fasi e le principali elaborazioni, ovvero le riprese fotografiche (il progetto di presa, il progetto di presa della Sala Paolina, il progetto di presa della Sala dell’Apollo, il progetto di presa dei fronti del cortile dell’Angelo, il progetto di presa dei fronti esterni degli Appartamenti Papali, il progetto di presa delle pavimentazioni) e le restituzioni (elaborazioni delle prese fotogrammetriche, la rappresentazione per via fotografica, la restituzione a tratto da fotopiano, la stereorestituzione analitica).
