Metabolismo urbano e pratiche di riciclo

Abstract

Dall’“usa e getta” al “riciclo” non come semplice slogan ma come azione indispensabile per salvaguardare i già precari equilibri ambientali, economici e sociali delle nostre città, da trasferire dagli oggetti di uso comune ai manufatti edilizi e ai contesti urbani e paesaggistici. I principi del riciclo applicati a edifici, aree degradate o a intere porzioni di paesaggio sono in grado di innescare processi virtuosi di rigenerazione estesi al più ampio contesto circostante. Seguendo questa logica, il progettista assume un ruolo determinante nell’azione di controllo delle diverse fasi, dalla programmazione alla progettazione, dalla realizzazione alla gestione, dovendo garantire un funzionamento capace di ridurre al minimo consumi di energia, inquinamento, impiego e sprechi di materie prime, prevedendone il riuso e predisponendo il manufatto ad altre possibili vite future.
