Nella complessa gestazione di palazzo Barberini a Roma, Pietro da Cortona partecipa in una posizione apparentemente secondaria come architetto, ma un'analisi più ravvicinata di opere in buona parte profondamente alterate, evidenzia le potenzialità innovative di alcune idee di fondo.

In the complex gestation of the Palazzo Barberini in Rome, Pietro da Cortona participates in a seemingly minor as an architect, but closer examination of works for the most part deeply weathered, highlights the innovative potential of some basic ideas.
