Alcuni aspetti dell' interdizione linguistica nell' indoeuropeo

Abstract

Una ricerca di archeologia linguistica sui più antichi tabù dell' Indeuropeo. Dal metodo comparativo si ricostruiscono non solamente i vocaboli di questa lingua-madre, progenitrice delle lingue europee, del sanscrito e delle lingue persiane pre-islamiche, ma si individuano anche delle curiose "assenze": parole che, dovrebbero esserci e invece non ci sono. Sono interdizioni linguistiche, parole tabù tra le più antiche del continente europeo. La ricerca si restringe alla sfera più ricca e significativa: quella magico-religiosa, che ha dato vita ad una grande innovazione linguistica in tutte le lingue derivate, scaturita dalla ricerca di parole "noa", ovvero sostituti di parole tabù. Il più convincente lavoro a tal proposito è stato quello di Bonfante, ma questa ricerca raccoglie in maniera critica e completa tutte le teorie più credibili dei linguisti che si sono avventurati in questo ambito, dalle quali emergono anche i primi nomi degli dèi, processi di creazione "accidentale" di altri dèi, la nascita di forme poetiche e credenze oggi del tutto scomparse in Europa.
