Abstract

I lavori qui raccolti coprono un arco temporale di 15 anni. Si tratta di progetti piccoli incaricati da committenti privati riguardanti ristrutturazioni di interni –quelli realizzati- e di progetti alla grande scala che interessano spazi per la cultura e sistemazioni dello spazio pubblico, oggetto di concorsi internazionali –quelli rimasti sulla carta. Le dimensioni del molto piccolo e del piuttosto grande però, secondo l’autrice, non entrano in conflitto tra loro ma costituiscono un unico aspetto di un approccio metodologico alla progettazione architettonica. In entrambe le situazioni il progetto si sviluppa a partire dalla lettura critica delle condizioni esistenti, dalla osservazione delle tracce che il palinsesto ha sovrascritto su siti e manufatti e dalla mediazione con le esigenze e le richieste della committenza. Il progetto si configura sempre come una ulteriore scrittura sopra l’esistente che svela e seleziona alcune delle caratteristiche dei luoghi che va a modificare, proponendosi come un anello di congiunzione tra il passato e le ulteriori modificazioni future.
