In this article the Authors try to define what could be the place of phenomenological thinking in human science research. It could be a method, an epistemological paradigm, a style of thought. The paper aims to explore the possibility of identifying a phenomenological style of research in human science, its features and its boundaries. After having clarified in what sense phenomenology can be seen as a style of thought, contributions of phenomenological theory, method and stance will be examined.
