Abstract

Lo schematismo descrittivo che ha caratterizzato la trattazione classica della sinonimia linguistica viene qui criticato e messo a confronto con il principio prototipico introdotto dalla psicologia cognitiva e recepito dalla linguistica moderna per l'analisi del significato. Il principio è usato per spiegare il fenomeno in termini intellettualmente dinamici e pertinenti al criterio paradigmatico della lingua.
