Abstract

Il problema dell'ascolto musicale viene analizzato in diverse prospettive. Inizialmente il saggio costruisce l'apporto di diversi studiosi alla discussione del problema dell'ascolto musicale (Walter Benjamin, Theodor W. Adorno, Heinrich Schenker, Felix Salzer, Pierre Schaeffer, Raymond Murray Schafer, Steven Feld). Successivamente il saggio ricostruisce le abitudini di consumo e di ascolto musicale in base al "Global Music Report 2016" della IFPI e al report nazionale della FIMI, concentrandosi sul passaggio dal fisico al digitale, dal download allo streaming, dalla fruizione gratuita ai servizi in abbonamento. In seguito il saggio discute i nuovi paradigmi teorici emergenti, sottolineando continuità e discontinuità con il passato (Anahid Kassabian, Nicholas Cook, Tia De Nora, Richard Shusterman, Nicholas Negroponte, Philip Auslander, Bolter & Grusin). In questa prospettiva, il saggio affronta, in chiusura, tre diversi aspetti diversi: l'ascolto nell'esperienza audiovisiva, i paradossi del live mediatizzato, il ritorno del vinile.
